Our Business

We hope to provide a variety of books to our customers. Not just popular best sellers, but also rare books to collectors and book afficionados who can browse our stacks, online or in our store, and find something unique each time they shop with us. If there's anything you'd especially like us to find for you, please contact us and let us know. We'll do our best to find it for you.

Lucerne Valley, for all its glorious beauty and size, proudly boasts a small population of only 5000 or so. Its small town atmosphere is one of the main reasons we moved up here from the busy San Fernando Valley. The folks here are warm and friendly and made us feel welcome from our first day in our new home.

There aren't any franchise restaurants here. No major chain grocery stores either. Mom and Pop stores supply nearly all our needs, and in shopping there, we support our community.

But something we missed, and learned has never been here, is a book store. Hence the Hi Desert Book Oasis was born. We hope to continue the tradition of offering local products and services to this wonderful community and in so doing, offer lower prices and a warm welcome to all who cross our threshold.
